RC Duties and the LL
Thursday, June 12th, 2008Fleet Race Officer Dambrie will have more to say next Wednesday on the topic, but since we did not have any “Tune-up” event or RC training on Memorial Day weekend this year, a reminder on the operation of the Lindsay Lord is in order.
- Only PYC members are authorized to drive the Lindsay Lord and only those who are trained should attempt it. If you are not a member or a member who is not trained, see Nick or if he is unavailable, me.
- The vessel should be left in good order when it is returned to the mooring: all race management equipment should be stowed in its proper place, all electronics should be off and the batteries switched off, trash should be picked up and taken ashore, the key and the shotgun (if you used it) should be returned to the dockhouse.
- If you are unsure about any aspect of the operation or care of the vessel . . . ASK . . . Nick or me or one of the waterfront personnel.
The Lindsay Lord is a valuable Club asset that has been placed at our disposal every Wednesday night and many weekends free of charge. Nick and I are asking each of you to do everything you can to ensure that we don’t lose the privilege.
– Howard
