Good Evening Fleet 43 Skippers and Crews:

Weather Underground forecasts snow in and around Portland tomorrow!  Can one still get stoked for summer sailing when you have to sweep snow off the boat during the last week of April?  Rhetorical question….of course one can.
I wanted to touch base on a couple of key items.
First.  Key dates.  Following up on my last email to remind all of a couple of upcoming dates.
7 May: Fleet Launch with the Etchells fleet. Please let me know whether you plan to launch during this fleet launch, so we can help manage the numbers.  I’ve only heard from two boats so far.
18 May: “First Race” (Fleet Management) Ashore; points awarded for boats with two personnel showing up.
25 May:  First Race of Series One; on the water.
Second.  Congrats to Seabags Sailing Team Al for the great showing at Charleston…Way to show the colors for the Maine fleet
Third.  Good luck to those boats headed to J24 Nationals in Sayville, NY May 11-16:  Seabags Sailing Team-Al, Seabags Sailing Team-Wait for It, and Mr. Hankey.  Sail fast and sail smart.
Stay warm and enjoy our short spring.
